perfect for relaxing, hopefully again soon ...
Very quiet and traditional place
Nicely located in the middle of the old town
Eat wine and regional chatter. Always my pleasure
The seats were perfectly cleaned and the armchairs were extremely comfortable. This restaurant really has the potential to become my next hangout. Here you get both: friendly and fast waiters. In this restaurant it has never happened to us that a dish is not warm came on the table. The selection of drinks also leaves nothing to be desired.
Sitting outside, drinking grape juice and wine, eating meat sausage with a double purpose. The service friendly and funny. A wonderful evening in the shadow of the cathedral.
Nice as always. Good wine and tasty little dishes
A veteran in Mainz. The owner always has a loose slogan in stock and the wine is great. Idyllic wine bar with character.
Very friendly service, good food at good prices
I was very pleased. Great atmosphere great guests plenty of food. Come back
In the Weinhaus Zum Spiegel, the furnishings are reminiscent of cozy times, but have just stopped somewhere in the past millennium. You rarely sit alone, the wine house is always well attended and so you always meet nice people. The audience is mixed and contributes to the pleasant flair. The wine selection fits and there are smaller dishes according to the philosophy of a wine house. Closed on Sundays, Mondays and public holidays. We always like to come back here, a fixed point of contact when staying in Mainz.
Always my pleasure
A very nice and cozy wine bar, the boss always offers you a seat. I can only recommend the restaurant.
The best and most cozy wine restaurant in Mainz, always courteous and courteous staff, even when all the available seats are occupied, the atmosphere is calm and the overview is kept. Food with wine always fresh and tasty, always a pleasure!
If your looking for authentic German this is a great spot. Great wine selections food menu is classic mix of cold cuts and Wurst. Lots of locals reminds me of my sweet grandparents when visiting in Germany.
Essentially a traditional wine tavern in Mainz, but with a host whose sense of humor leaves something to be desired. The female service is always very attentive and friendly.
As always excellent service from the boss personally, great wine and delicious food suitable for a good selection. Just one of the last real good wine taverns in Mainz with a long tradition, which is fortunately still maintained !!!
Savory wines are served by the owner of the house with a sense of humor. The lady is silent all the more and serves simple food - almost in seconds from the kitchen ... interesting mixture
Wine pub. Only snacks, prices a bit too high. Just eat. Rather for tourists.
Mainz is a city where wine is more famous than beer. You can enjoy wines from Rhineland-Palatinate where Mainz belongs to in a very traditional German building.
One of the most beautiful historic half-timbered houses is the Mainzer Weinstube Zum Spiegel. The restaurant impresses with its historical ambience. Here you put especially on Mainz specialties: Mainzer Nackische with Paarweck, Handkäse and meat sausage, Spundenkäse - here everyone finds the right one. The matching wines come from the Rheingau, Rheinhessen and Middle Rhine.
Our favorite wine place in Mainz!
New record for unfriendliness ??? the highlight came outside the door: the boss himself drives the car through the pedestrian zone and grumbles at us because we had parked our bikes to the side of the establishment. "I don't want you to do that again, IS THAT CLEAR?" Who does he think he is?
Have not try the food here yet, but here is what it's look like on Saturday around noon.
Pretty fantastic wine selection.
Brilliant Weinstube. This is where the locals go. Great wines in a cosy atmosphere and traditional grub with the wine. Totally recommend.
Beatiful place, with traditional wines from the Rhine. A really must visit place in Mainz.
Small and cozy bar/restaurant in the center of Mainz. Typical local produce and an extensive wine list. Very nice staff, but rather old clientele
This ancient fachwerk building houses a wine bar with a large selection of local wines.
Very nice old house.
